Jaikwadi Wildlife Sanctuary, Aurangabad

The aquatic vegetation included mainly the species of Chara, Spyrogyra, Hydrilla, Potamogeton, Vallisneria etc. Argemone Maxicana and Ipomea Fistulosa occures in surrounding area. "Sant Dnyaneshwar Udyan" at the foot of the dam spread in 124 hects.i Is set up on the line of famous garden "Vrindavan" of Karnataka, "Pinjore" of "Haryana" and "Shalimar" of Kashmir. In park area large number of many species of trees have been planted.

There are nearly 50 species of fishes found in the area. As said this area has attracted many species of resident and migratory birds. Nearly 200 species of birds are reports from this area which includes more than 70 species of migratory birds out of which 45 major species are of international migration. Some individual species of migratory birds are more than 15000 in number. Notable amongst migratory birds are Cranes, Flamingoes, Brahmany duck, Pochards tcals, Pintails, Wigeon, Shovellar, God wit, Shauces, Glossy ibis etc. It is a gns habitat for resting of local resident birds.
